May 1, 2009 00:00: iRanking posted for April 2009 | remember "it's only an indicator" | Oracle FSS jumped to #1 ahead of Temenos and Infosys | Allshare and Callatay & Wouters were other active vendors on the rise in April.
April 30, 2009 11:53: No surprise that Metavante under FIS control has terminated agreements with Temenos and work has stopped on the joint development project to build a "next generation" core banking platform targeted at the US market and based on the Temenos CoreBanking (TCB) system. Some think this could be the death-knell of a system that seemed to have so much potential as a FSDM-based and technically well-architected retail core banking engine - needing the integrity of design to be maintained as necessary functional elements were developed and packaged ahead of commercial sales release.
April 29, 2009 12:34: From the USA today, a spate of specific inquiries including those about OSI banking software, Open Solutions core banking, Hogan core system, Hogan system CAMS II, Fidelity banking systems, core banking ACBS, Jack Henry Banking software.

Last we heard it was an Infosys project of sorts (with Finacle people onsite). And prior to all that, GSB was a System Access Symbols client (pre-Sungard).

April 14, 2009 21:22: ref. our April 5 fresh note about a real bank "planning a large scale core system replacement" and seeking the latest points of comparison between FlexCube and Finacle from us | our direct inquiries seeking updates went to each vendor's sales & marketing contacts and we have not seen responses... both Infosys and Oracle FSS are either very slow or not interested in competing for real business? We know other top vendors that would act quickly and respond with interest.
April 13, 2009 11:27: It may or may not be worth mentioning that two vendors and systems appeared more than usual in inquiries this past week | namely Profile core banking system (meaning the one from Fidelity and formerly Sanchez, and not the Profile Systems product from Greece) and the other one was Open Solutions OSI core banking.
April 8, 2009 21:56: A quick mention in case someone wants to connect with a money transfer company in India inquiring about a By Phone Payment System today | contact us

April 7, 2009 09:57: We see others are suggesting the acquisition of Metavante by Fidelity will likely affect Metavante’s deal with Temenos to jointly develop and market a next generation core banking platform based on the Temenos CoreBanking TCB product. It should. It would probably be a wiser choice to base the future solution for the larger banks, with retail banking, real-time, customer-centric requirements focus for core systems, on the FIS Corebank (same data model and basic architecture as TCB), and Profile platforms where their development is already focused today.
April 6, 2009 19:42:The comparison request du jour is "viveo vs delta vs iflex" and comes from Tunisia.
April 5, 2009 18:13: For a bank planning a large scale core system replacement, this week we will try and compile the latestdetails and points of comparison across technology, architecture and business functionality between FlexCube 10.0 from Oracle FS and Finacle 10.2 from Infosys | all relevant input greatly appreciated.
April 3, 2009 11:49: Not sure if it is a trend, but there is an impression that lately more US-based financial institutions are looking for core banking system and vendor information online | ref. first time visitors (new lookers) from banks in 5 US states in recent days using search terms like "bank core system vendors", "core banking system", and "core banking software".
April 1, 2009 21:55: Announcements and pronouncements about the planned Fidelity National Information Services Inc. (FIS) takeover of Metavante indicate Temenos expect their relationship with Metavante to continue under an FIS structure. Interesting. The combined "processing center" will be a powerhouse, but it is a competitive world, and one must wonder how do TCB and T24 coexist or compete in the US market under Fidelity?
April 1, 2009 8:34: >>> Core banking system vendors, consultants, and integrators > the unique global market "intel" we develop and provide to others, and which they use as a lead generation and prospect activity tool, could be delivered to you too. We know our "intelligence" data can enhance and supplement your own sales & marketing channel data, and be truly valuable as a cost-effective alternative stream or add-on in tough times | Just ask... how to get started with this inntron service.
