January 30, 2009 15:20: Comparisons requested today included | from Nigeria "Oracle Flexcube vs Temenos T24 " (< this one is fairly straightforward for us to explain) | from the USA "S1 Enterprise versus Touchpoint" ebanking | from India "temenos flexcube finacle bancs" by an SI| and out of NY, USA "Finacle vs TCS BaNCS" from an institution.

January 29, 2009 14:26: Just in | a first-time Visitor inquiry from a bank in Astana Kazakhstan that used the search terms "banking back office software".

January 28, 2009 9:17: A new inquirer out of Jordan asked for a comparison of Istisharat ICBS versus Misys Bankfusion Universal Banking System | We only have our Trapedza summary about Bankfusion created previously in about 2004. We are not up-to-date with what Misys are rolling out as Bankfusion since they bought Trapedza in 2006 and proposed that the BankFusion product would be rolled up into BankMaster Plus. We do have basic information on BML Istisharat and their Integrated Computerized Banking System (ICBS) product, that we still see get confused with the Fiserv International Comprehensive Banking System (ICBS).

January 27, 2009 13:58: Because we see and handle so many inquiries about systems for cooperatives and microfinance - and Indian co-op banks in particular - today the first draft of the Microfinance and Co-op core systems Quickview Guide by Product has been posted.

January 27, 2009 9:43: Datapro Miami sure are getting some attention. with more enquiries coming from outside of the Americas - ref. specific search today from Mozambique for "Datapro IBS " | and overnight out of Indonesia we have the often repeated request for a comparison of "flexcube versus finacle".

January 26, 2009 8:30: No comparison requests today (so far). We recorded a new inquiry out of Vanuatu this morning for "retail banking software Australia".

January 21, 2009 20:36: From Ethiopia just now, an inquiry about "competitors of Iflex core banking" followed up by a broader search for "core banking software" and a good look around the core banking resource pages.

January 21, 2009 12:01: Out of Europe today, we have noted a number of inquiries similar to "iflex nab problems". Is someone starting a rumour, or is it about a different NAB entity, or is there something negative developing around the big Oracle i-Flex core banking business deal with National Australia Bank?

January 20, 2009 23:59: A recent inquiry asked about "failed banks and outsourced IT". We do not have any data on this, but someone might be investigating a link between the dispassionate outsourced banking systems model and institutions that are in trouble, or needed to be bailed-out, merged or rescued with government funds. There should not be any relationship - even though outsourced IT is often less satisfactory as a solution than the management expected when they signed up to save money.

January 20, 2009 17:02: A new request for comparison of core systems today comes from a 3rd Party vendor doing research wanting "Temenos T24 vs Datapro e-IBS ".

January 19, 2009 16:24: See AutoSoft Dynamics core banking system vendor page and listings that were updated today to reflect their latest logo and presentation details, including the distinctive AutoIBANKING branding for their Islamic banking product.

January 19, 2009 09:45: Today's first request for comparison of core systems comes from Trinidad and Tobago and is for "jack henry core director vs SAP".

January 16, 2009 16:39: Antegra was today posted as a 'vendor of interest' with a brief write-up about the Serbian business - a member of the Asseco group - and the Antegra Bi core banking system.

January 14, 2009 14:16: A quick look at the top 15 places of the current iRanking list mid month shows Polaris, Delta and CSC all up a few places, and Fiserv still going the other way (down) - ref. table half way down the old Commentary page.

January 13, 2009 9:50: Today's inquiries for comparison included from HCMC Vietnam one for "silverlake vs temenos " - that's a tired one from that market - and another from Poland for "ICBS Flexcube globus Alnova" - translated as "Fiserv ICBS vs Oracle i-Flex Flexcube vs Temenos T24 vs Alnova/Accenture".

January 11, 2009 22:00: Another inquiry for a comparison - "banking systems path i-flex comparison" - this time it seems iMal and Flexcube are in review with an MNC in Jordan.

January 10, 2009 12:59: An update to the 'vendor of interest' summary information page for Neptune Software of the UK was delivered today and posted. The newer Rubikon Java platform universal banking engine is being highlighted by the vendor.

January 10, 2009 9:26: Noted an inquiry and interest in "private banking software" from IndyMac Federal Bank which is a bridge bank created in 2008 to manage assets and liabilities of the failed US bank, IndyMac Bank. What's that about?

January 10, 2009 9:20: From Chisinau in the Republic of Moldova, a specific lookup for "automated banking system Va-Bank" that found our resource for FORS Banking Systems (FORS-BS) on top of the search engine results. It is not just popular search terms like "core banking systems" and "core banking software" that put inntron on top.

January 7, 2009 10:42: Today's first request for a comparison is "T24 vs Finacle" and comes from Ethiopia.

January 7, 2009 9:00: From Australia, a specific inquiry about "Temenos NAB" - is there news there since we have not heard anything about Temenos getting into National Australia Bank? Elsewhere work continued on T24 for Westpac Bank Singapore in the 2nd half of 2008, while we were told recently not to ask about progress of T24 at Bank Islam though.

January 6, 2009 11:08: From Bogota in Colombia, we see a new request for a Finacle versus i-Flex comparison | and from Sudan, a "core banking system" inquiry that developed into interest in Temenos T24 and Path iMal in particular.

January 4, 2009 10:59: Random iRank indications from the year 2008 and, perhaps, indicators for 2009 -
Most commonly declared in comparisons for core banking outside the Americas | Infosys Finacle, Oracle i-Flex Flexcube, Temenos T24, TCS BaNCS
• Most inquired about Islamic core banking | Path iMal
• Looked up from India as for Indian Co-operatives and Regional core banking |
Datavision DataMate, Trust Systems TrustBank, Mindmill Bankmill, Oracle Flexcube
• Private banking core banking stalwart | ERI Olympic

Of interest a little | Technisys Cyberbank, Abba NovoDoba, Info Dynamic Banksoft, FPT-IS
Major vendor less frequently seen in comparisons outside USA | Fiserv ICBS
Francophone market main core banking competitors | Delta-Bank, SAB

December 31, 2008 20:13: Two separate enquirers today from the Sudan with specific inquiries about "Infosys technology core banking system" and "core banking system Path iMal"; and from Egypt another named Banque only looking for "equation core banking system" plus a returning institution perhaps refining their core banking search down to ICS BANKS.

December 29, 2008 12:00: re National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) | inquiries indicate the 2008 selection cycle for an integrated banking system (ADB funded project) may have resulted in a win for Oracle i-Flex Flexcube - ref. searches from Singapore 26/12 "NBC Cambodia iflex", and from Cambodia today for "Flexcube for National Bank of Cambodia".

December 28, 2008 12:11: Throughout 2008, there has been a growing number of instances of "inntron" being typed into internet search engines as a specific and almost "generic" search term used by financial services sector parties looking for practical core banking system and vendor information, and independent advice, via the web channel. For years now, banking & finance institutions, their systems integration partners, and consultants have used targeted internet searches like for "core banking systems" or "core banking software in {any country name}", and they find us. Many bookmark the inntron core banking resource pages, and others just look-up "inntron" the next time - inntron has an established presence on the internet - with a focused audience including plenty of leading industry names that are frequent and regular returning visitors. Relevant visitor traffic is steadily increasing. Thanks to all those people who told us how they appreciate the straight-forward data and assistance we provide. We will continue to do the daily analysis to ensure the intelligence that we develop about the core banking systems market. and the insights we provide as consultants, will continue to be of interest and of value. A little well-placed online advertising and promotion with inntron in 2009 will again be an effective option for banking system vendors and service providers trying to stand out and be seen in the spotlight.

December 22, 2008 19:48: Recent inquiries indicate there is some current interest in knowing more about Temenos CoreBanking TCB from independent sources (several inquiries this week anyway). Some straight-forward questions asked about the system's heritage and history, the clients, implementations and references (RSI and the Thai projects), and the rating of the product (not the vendor).

December 20, 2008 10:03: Defn. ~ inntron intelligence is information gathered and analyzed and made available that is valued for its currency and relevance on top of the intrinsic value of the precise and unique data content | for targeted core banking systems market interest and activity data, click here and request the inntron intelligence channel white paper.

December 19, 2008 20:08: The Private Banking System Product and Islamic Banking System Product Quickview Guide pages are indexed and accessed widely as entry pages. These "By Product Within Category" listings for software products that fit the respective categories are popular lately. Still, the best way to lookup subsets or category-based selections in our websites is to use the insite Search tool to find relevant information within our larger set of core banking listings and resources covering 93 vendors and some 130 core banking systems.

December 18, 2008 12:59: ISYS Banking Software was today posted as a 'vendor of interest' with a brief write-up about the Swiss group and their interestingly-named BEST Banking core product.

December 15, 2008 16:38: New activity out of Doha, Qatar with specific inquiries for "Omni Core Banking" looking up Infrasoft Technologies, and "Islamic Core Banking System Phoenix" finding both ITS and Harland Financial.

December 12, 2008 12:00: An initial 'vendor of interest' summary has been created for Indian group HCL Infosystems and posted to the extensive core banking resource set (the 92nd vendor to list) with information about the HCL banking solutions (HCL CBS).

December 11, 2008 11:24: The latest 'vendor of interest' listing has been posted to the core banking resource pages for Sidat Hyder | BANKEssential web-based core banking software.

December 10, 2008 09:53: A slice of the global view from the last 24 hrs | Yesterday a single institution from Mexico used this comparative core banking system vendor list: Infosys, Fidelity, Temenos, OSI, Oracle i-flex, Datapro, DLyA Bantotal. From Venezuela, noted two options compared were Arango Software International and CobisCorp (Macosa). And from Hanoi in Vietnam, another long hard look at Temenos CoreBanking. While out of Laos it is i-flex and Infopro that attracted a comparison. From Sydney, Temenos T24. Canada, COBIScorp and Temenos T24. From France, keen interest in Top Systems Topaz. And Panama, after IBS Datapro. Algeria, just TCS FNS. Virginia after CSC Hogan. Even North Dakota for CBS Fiserv.

December 9, 2008 10:19: Australian traffic early today inquiring about "ANZ Bank and Oracle iFlex". Is there news there?

December 6, 2008 20:20: Abba Software from Croatia seems to be attracting attention and increased inquiries lately for their NovoDoba integrated banking system (Microsoft platform) and new Netbanking system version which is now in ASPx (not in PHP anymore) and completely using new technologies like AJAX.

December 2, 2008 10:25: It's only a indicator, and they are at position #12 overall in the iRanking at the end of November, but Fiserv with their ICBS (International) and Fiserv CBS (US) core banking system products are receiving noticeably fewer targeted inquiries, and are not being included in many comparative lookups through our channel according to our recent tracking (not as often as in previous times).

The breakdown is based on increasing inquiries and visitor numbers overall (see table on the right) and reflects a shift because, as the numbers grow, there are more Consultants and SI's and Banks in the mix, and the number of Vendors has virtually peaked (though Vendor usage and visit traffic increases all the time). It is very satisfying to record growing and regular interest, and use of, our resources by Visitors from all over the globe.
