In 2005-6, AttentiV banking systems group of the UK was taken over by and absorbed into TietoEnator group.

TietoEnator Corporation was formed in 1999 from a merger of diversified Nordic systems houses, Tieto of Finland, and Enator of Sweden.

The core banking solutions area can trace it roots back to the sixties, to a computing centre for banks that in 1990 spun off Provida, which operated for a decade as a Norwegian listed software vendor to the international banking market, and was later acquired to form the core of the banking solutions vertical.

The company is based in Finland with branches in 22 countries and customers in more than 30. TietoEnator is a leading European supplier of high value-added IT services, with more than 12,500 employees and annual net sales of 1.4 billion euro.

TietoEnator Financial Solutions, through PBS Core Systems, provides customer-centric real-time accounting across all distribution channels.

PBS Core Systems is an integrated, yet component-based application for retail and corporate banking that supports real-time accounting, multi-currencies, multi-language, multi-banking and multi-channel strategies.

PBS Core Systems consists of components that can be installed independently and integrated onto a current retail and/or corporate banking environment. At the heart of PBS Core Systems are comprehensive customer, product, and agreement management modules. This provides a single and complete view of the financial institution's customers and their engagements with the institution.

PBS Core Systems manages deposit and loan products and credit and debit cards. The application includes a world-leading liquidity management component, to be used by large corporates to perform cash pooling, sweeping etc.
