activebank is a set of scalable, robust and functionally rich retail and wholesale banking applications built out of reusable software components and deployed on industry standard, Internet-enabled server technologies. Each component has an XML interface to enable EAI and ensure maximum interoperability with other systems. Utilising the Microsoft .NET technology platform, activebank is a modern banking system. This technical platform provides inherent support for all kinds of devices and channels. activebank is a complete set of advanced software applications for the needs of financial services organisations involved in retail or wholesale banking. These applications provide support for many different business areas, meeting the requirements of the front, middle and back office. All delivery channels are supported through the inherent flexibility provided by the systems technological design. Spanning the treasury dealing room and settlements area, loans administration, retail banking (both traditional and direct), payments and messaging, general ledger and Internet banking. The applications can be either be implemented on a standalone basis, interfacing to other systems in use at the bank or together as an integrated solution, capable of being deployed on an ASP basis as well as directly within the user organisation. With all facilities available on a 24x7x365 basis, activebank supports a multi-entity, multi-branch scenario through which all of the customer services, branch and head office operations may be processed. The customer is at the heart of activebank, helping the organisation efficiently manage the relationship with each customer. Modelling tools provide the bank with a means of rapidly introducing new products. Utilising reusable component technology, the connectivity obtained through extensive use of XML and web-enabled throughout, activebank provides a low cost of ownership and runs on modern industry-standard hardware and software.
IBIS/S2 is the successor system to the widely installed IBIS R7 with its in-depth international banking functionality. The architecture of IBIS/S2 has been re-engineered to exploit a three-tier client server model and incorporate e-Banking technology - other technical advances include the use of browser-based screens throughout the product and SQL Server database technology. The system is split into a number of different modules. Business modules available include: Foreign Exchange & Money Market for the bank's treasury operation / Integrated support is provided for the dealing room and back office. Links to external systems such as Reuters and SWIFT give a complete solution to the modern treasury. Capital Markets for primary and secondary market trading of securities on the bank's own behalf. The module covers deal capture, position keeping, revaluation and back office settlement for a wide range of instruments. Lending covering syndicated as well as single lender facilities. Revolving credits, fixed floating and variable rate loans are all supported. Management of facilities is automated from the time of offer to maturity. Documentary Credits for support of trade finance operations including Letters of Credit, Collections, Reimbursements and Guarantees. The modules provide integrated SWIFT links and word processing capabilities as well as a highly flexible fee structure Retail Banking and Private Banking for the management of discretionary and non-discretionary investment funds for clients including securities, deposits, foreign exchange, guarantees, fixed term lending, credit facilities, collateral as well as the clients' current accounts. The Message Processing module links to SWIFT and other similar networks to allow payments, confirmations, settlements and other messages to be automatically sent and received into the system. Statutory Returns modules cover the reporting requirements of many of the world's financial centres. This includes Financial Services Authority requirements through download of data to the established STB Systems reporting product, US federal returns, Institut Belgo Luxembourgeois du Change and Institut Monetaire Luxembourgeois, Hong Kong Monetary Authority returns, Monetary Authority of Singapore and Czech returns.Underlying all of the business modules is the General Ledger & Accounting module, which handles all accounting for the system as well as providing centralised risk, customer and counterparty information across the bank. IBIS/S2 incorporates Internet Banking functions as standard throughout to enable the bank to increase the level of service it offers to its customers. Customers may be authorised to view accounts and pass transactions and other requests to the bank, either through a corporate extranet, VPN or the Internet. Based on a three-tier client-server architecture combining the Microsoft Windows operating system with IBM iSeries, IBIS/S2 provides a highly robust, scalable environment for a mission critical application. IBIS/S2's client server architecture ensures that users can make decisions closer to the customer and be more responsive to their requirements. As IBIS/S2 is fully Internet enabled, it can provide a range of remote facilities that can be securely accessed via any combination of private networks, Intranets and the Internet. IBIS/S2 offers international banking functionality on a high performance, fully scalable platform using component based, web-enabled software to meet the requirements of small and large banking operations.
