Delta Informatique is a French-owned developer and supplier of banking application software, operating in the world markets. The company was founded in 1981 and has consistently ranked well amongst global banking system suppliers. Delta’s banking system, Delta-Bank, runs on multiple operating systems, is platform and database-independent; operates in a multi-lingual and multi-currency capacity and provides the features and functions necessary for a modern bank.

Delta Informatique has some 300 staff dedicated to Delta-Bank development, system implementation, ongoing maintenance and support for clients. The company is operating in 45 countries and Delta-Bank is deployed in 160 banks (1–450) branches.

Delta Bank is a Unix-based core banking application with retail, corporate, trade finance and treasury modules seamlessly integrated in a centrally deployed multi-tier, thin-client architecture with browser-based access. Delta Bank can utilise either an Oracle or Informix RDBMS, organising data in a customer-centric fashion thereby enabling full use of Delta Bank’s CRM module. Delta Bank has a broad and deep functionality and is claimed to be unique in terms of its parameterization, core system development and maintenance / upgrade methodology. Delta Bank is workflow enabled and supports extensive parameterization – reducing banking product creation and packaging time i.e. time to market. Delta Bank is multi-currency, multi-lingual and multi-platform and multi-bank / instance orientated. The system was one of the first banking applications to be used in an ASP configuration. The architecture allows seamless, standards-based messaging interfaces with Delta delivery channels or third party applications. Delta Bank supports Straight-Through-Processing, enabling its clients to offer their entire spectrum of services to its customers through remote delivery channels such as Internet Banking, Tele-Banking, Home Banking, ATMs, POS, and Kiosks. Coupled with the 24x7x365 availability, the Delta system helps banks to deliver high levels of service and exceed customers’ expectations.

Delta-Bank is fully scalable from single site off line functionality to over 4,000 on line users and over 450 branches. Delta-Bank has been benchmarked and stress tested for performance with over 12,000 simultaneous users and 15 million accounts.
