Overview:
Callataÿ & Wouters is a provider of scalable, end-to-end core banking technology and applications that deliver private wealth back office functionality as well as dedicated front office capabilities including multi-channel distribution. Founded in 1983, Callataÿ & Wouters has a long history of delivering software solutions and services, including system integration, to the finance industry.
Headquartered in Belgium and with a presence in 15 countries, Callataÿ & Wouters serves some 40 clients, including retail, universal and private banks and financial institutions. Its client base includes BNP Paribas, National Savings & Investment, Rabobank, CBA and Alliance & Leicester. In 2007, the company signed a strategic deal with SAP to deliver Thaler on the SAP platform and integrate it with SAP solutions for finance and risk management.
Callataÿ & Wouters is one of the key members of the Banking Industry Architecture Network (BIAN), an independent body committed to the promotion and development of industry standards suitable for SOA.
The solution suite that earlier was described as including a universal banking engine (Thaler), a Banking Intelligence tool (Teran) and a complete e-banking solution (Kyudo) is now consolidated under the Thaler name. The Teran and Kyudo components have now been fully merged into Thaler.

This proven, multi-channel offering can be run as an integrated end-to-end solution to cover the entire range of core-banking activities or on a modular basis to support individual lines of business. All parts of the Thaler solution suite are designed with the active and direct involvement of professional bankers and specifically focus on the needs of end users. Thaler has been installed at more than 40 banks in 15 countries.
Two layers of individual components organise Thaler’s numerous functions. The Bank Management layer covers all central administrative functions such as customer information management, accounting and risk management. Banking products and operations are addressed by five sets of business components which together make up the second layer, namely Securities, Treasury, Loans, Deposits, Payments.
